Today, Collinsville Community Unit School District #10 students honored the September 11 Day of Remembrance by creating artwork, hearing stories, observing moments of silence, and placing flags in memory of those lost in New York, Washington, D.C. and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.  

At Collinsville High School, social studies classes came out each hour during the school day to place flags on the lawn in front of the school until the total reached 2,997 - the number of lives lost on September 11, 2001.
