Caseyville Elementary translator Jennifer Vargas was recognized today as February 2026 Kahok Educator of the Month. The award was presented by Caseyville Principal Chelsea Clark and local Benjamin F. Edwards financial advisor Jason Rehg. 

In her nomination of Miss Jenny, Mrs. Clark wrote:

"Jenny started out working for Unit 10 as a substitute teacher.  She was a natural in the classroom.  When a translator position became available three years ago, she applied for the position.  Jenny has embedded herself in our Kahok Community as an employee and through volunteer opportunities coaching soccer.

Jenny is the jack of all trades. She takes the initiative to help families, students and staff members. She is communicative to families, but most importantly, our families trust her. We are grateful to have her as part of our Caseyville family."
