Posted Date: 03/26/26 (12:44 PM)

Students proudly display their certificates and artwork at the CUSD 10 Young Authors celebration.

On Wednesday, March 25, Collinsville Community Unit School District #10 honored Young Authors whose books were selected for recognition at the district and county levels.

Following the presentation of certificates, students and their guests were treated to a cookies and punch reception.

All K-8 students in the district were invited to enter an original book in the Young Authors competition.  Sixty-nine students submitted books for consideration.  Each school chose a few to represent them at the district-level.  In total, 35 students books advanced to district judging by CHS English department faculty.

Fifteen were chosen to advance to the county-level and twenty were recognized as district winners.
