Child safety is a top priority. When entering and leaving the parking lot, please:
- Maintain a 10 mile-per-hour top speed. Students are little and can move quickly and unexpectedly. This gives you time to react and stop so nobody gets hurt!
- DO NOT PARK ALONG THE DRIVE COMING INTO THE PARKING LOT. That congests the drive and makes it difficult for the bus drivers to get into the lot. It is also a safety issue.
- If you have to assist your child in exiting the car for any reason, you need to park IN A MARKED PARKING SPOT. Do not just stop in a driving lane and do not make your own spot in an open area. Open areas are there for a reason (buses, pedestrians, etc).
- At the end of the day, if you do not see a n open parking spot on the pick-up side of the lot, you will need to go to the further end and PARK IN A MARKED PARKING SPOT.
- When dropping students off in the morning along the front of the building, pull as far forward as possible and have children exit the back passenger door so they are right by the sidewalk and not having to walk in front of other cars in the line.
